Objectives of the Course

It is aimed to experiment the opportunities of graphic art to express and communicate, to develop creation skills by practicing and following the new developments in the graphic arts

Course Content

Elements and Principles of Art (Art Elements: Line, Color, Shape, Form, Texture, Value (Valor), interspaces (Espase), Principles of Art: Balance, Rhythm, Movement, Contrast, Unity, Emphasis, Case (Motif). Vehicle and the use of equipment, proper use of the technique, review examples of the artist.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical
İntroduction to graphic narrative, What is graphic and graphic design? A Brief History of Graphic Design.
Week 2 - Practice
Design principles. design and application oriented studies of organic and inorganic object (black - white). 7-tone.
Week 3 - Practice
4tones and 3tones values (black-white contrasts), tone exercises.
Week 4 - Practice
4 stage (point, line, stain, texture-color) implementation. (Rapido pencil, watercolor and gouache paint)
Week 5 - Practice
Transformation, stylized, distorted, exaggeration, abstraction studies. Transformation of an object to another object. (7 stages, black - white)
Week 6 - Theoretical
Transformation, stylized, distorted, exaggeration, abstraction studies. Transformation of an object to another object. (7 stages, black - white)
Week 7 - Theoretical
Composition studies with basic geometric forms. All - track the relationship (linear, discolouration, dot) full - empty relation (Lavi, collage - newsprint) The contrasts of spaces.
