Objectives of the Course

To understand current learning methods and techniques in teaching and gain application skills for them.

Course Content

Field teaching, basic objectives of field teaching, field literacy, concept teaching (misconceptions, concept maps, conceptual cartoons, V diagrams, etc.), methods and materials used in field education, examination of the field curriculum (themes, achievements, learning situations, evaluation techniques, etc.). Examining and evaluating course, teacher and student workbook samples.

Learning Outcomes
1.Explain the importance and purpose of field teaching.
2.Define the concept of scientific literacy and express the characteristics of scientific literate individuals.
3.Explain the features of general and special teaching methods and techniques that can be used in field education and the issues to be considered during their use in the classroom.
4.Comprehend the importance of laboratory use in teaching.
5.It will classify the scientific process skills required for conducting scientific studies as basic, causal and experimental process skills.
