Objectives of the Course

Forming the multi-way basic construction necessary for creating elementary level art works. While forming this base putting emphasize on the developing history, development process and developing technologies of art branch.

Course Content

1. Ways and methods of designing artistic work. 2. Technical studies in oil paint, acrylic and watercolour. 3. Recognition of the identity of objects 4. Composition. 5. Elements and principals of artistic composition.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical
mentioning modernist critical theorists
Week 2 - Theoretical
Students will be informed on materials and projects, explanation on the required artistic work such as charcoal portraits, still-life compositions, interior compositions, visual diary and collages will be given.
Week 3 - Practice
Each student will be provided theoretical texts, exhibition visuals, examples of various artists and their artwork, according to the projects.

A discussion / talk by an expert invited artist, faculty member or art critic. (midterm exam)

Presentation of progress reports by students. Exchange of ideas, discussion of applications related to these reports.

Week 11 - Theoretical
Visit to national exhibitions (Discussion and analysis of artist attitude, exhibition integrity, individual artworks, artwork-enviroment relations and other exhibition dynamics)

Detection of problems in ongoing projects, discussions and propositions aimed at solving these problems
