Objectives of the Course

To learn the history of museums, museum types, purposes and functions, necessity

Course Content

History of museums, types, purposes, necessity, museum and education, museum visit for education, preparation and application of museum guide for primary / secondary school students, preparation for museum visit, plans and rules, definition of museum, exhibition, historical, aesthetic and critical examination, application studies using the artifacts and ruins in the museum.

Learning Outcomes
1.It includes theoretical topics such as museums and cultures, museums and arts, museums and education, museums and community relations.
2.Making use of museums in arts education with applications: preparing a museum guide for students, preparation for a museum visit, plans and rules, programs and correspondence; group and individual visits.
3.The introduction of the museum, the exhibition and evaluation of the activities, historical aesthetic and critical analysis of the works in the museums.
4.Sample and original artistic works for primary and secondary school art lessons by making use of works and ruins in museums.
