Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to give the students the ability to use the diaphragm correctly, to speak correctly, to increase the width of the sound, to use the sound technically and effectively. The course also aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills to adapt to the choir by providing them with the skills to work in teams.

Course Content

In accordance with the goals of voice training in the choir, individuals are prepared to gain physical and mental readiness, correct posture, physical relaxation, flexibility, and mental relaxation habits (breathing together, holding, giving, long and short-cut breaths, breathing exercises in different dynamics). Producing sound based on the right breathing, using (phonation) sound in the right place and with the right intonation, enlarging the enrichment in the resonance zones, obtaining the homogeneous sound with the choir (sound-faded exercises). Correct, combined and fused language and speech studies (diction, articulation, etc.). Grouping the students according to their voice characteristics, exercises of sound and harmony between voice groups. Exercises to provide voice-faded-word connection and practice them in choral works (canon, monophonic, bipolar, tronic, and small-scale quadratic works) that are appropriate to the class level. To gain knowledge and perspective on choral culture, choral discipline and communication.
