Starting from the historical roots of Turkish music culture in Anatolia, Mesopotamia and the Ottoman Empire, the development of the Republican Period and the historical process to understand.
Historical roots of Turkish music culture. Interactions with music and environment music cultures in the old Asian nomadic cultures. Transition to Anatolia, music in ancient Anatolia, western Asia, mesopotomia music. The acceptance of Islam, music in the medieval Islamic world. Old grek music theory and influences in the media sources written in medieval times. Music theory in the Ottomans, instruments, genres, major composers. Ottoman period music writings, saz and promises. Turkey spread in the Balkans, interactions with various musical cultures and new music formations, reflections on the music of the growing relations with the West, the first Western musical elements and institutions in Turkey. Music in the Republican period, multi-cultural music structure in Anatolia, new music formations.
