Starting from the historical roots of Turkish music culture in Anatolia, Mesopotamia and the Ottoman Empire, the development of the Republican Period and the historical process to understand.
Historical roots of Turkish music culture. Interactions with music and environment music cultures in the old Asian nomadic cultures. Transition to Anatolia, music in ancient Anatolia, western Asia, mesopotomia music. The acceptance of Islam, music in the medieval Islamic world. Old grek music theory and influences in the media sources written in medieval times. Music theory in the Ottomans, instruments, genres, major composers.
