Objectives of the Course

The aim is to enable students to understand the importance of philosophical thinking, to know the discussions about existence, knowledge, science, ethics and aesthetics throughout the history of philosophy, to be able to think freely and look critically, and to develop the habit of philosophical-critical thinking.

Course Content

Characteristics of philosophical thought, philosophical knowledge and common sense knowledge, the relationship between philosophy-science-religion and art, basic philosophical issues and basic disciplines of philosophy.

The issue of posibility of knowledge: dogmatism and skeptisism
