Objectives of the Course

The aims and fundamental principles of science education and how various learning approaches are reflected to science instruction is presented to students by supporting in-class activities.

Course Content

The meaning of science learning and instruction; The aims and principles of science instruction; the history of science instruction; the reflection of learning and teaching approaches to science education; fundamental skills in science instruction; examples of in-class applications; current inclinations and problems in science instruction; the components of effective science inctruction; social, cultural and economic viewpoints to science instruction.
