Objectives of the Course

To understand basic approximations and concepts of modern physics, to learn basics of Quantum physics, atom and molecule physics, nuclear physics and solid state physics.

Course Content

Structure of the Atom: atomic models, energy levels, atomic and molecular spectra. Relativity: At the time, size and mass. Photons: Quant concept, black body radiation, photoelectric and Compton effect. Quantum Mechanics: Wave-particle duality, de Broglie waves, uncertainty principle, Schrödinger's wave
