Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to introduce musical cultures that have emerged in different regions and to enable students to evaluate music as a form of expression, social heritage, and cultural identity. Through music, students will learn about world cultures and develop their listening skills.

Course Content

Each week, the musical traditions of a different region or culture are introduced. Musical genres and instruments are analyzed. Short videos, listening samples, and instrument demonstrations are enriched. Cross-cultural comparisons are made.
