Objectives of the Course

The architecture of important Minoan centres of the 2nd millennium BC such as Knossos, Phaistos, Malia, Zakros, Gournia, Palaikastro, Hagia Triada and Kommos, as well as important Mycenaean centres such as Mykenai, Tiryns and Pylos, will be examined, taking into account the relations between them and their connections with Western Anatolia.

Course Content

The architectural development process of Crete Island, mainland Greece and western Anatolia in the 2nd millennium BC will be analysed with the help of photographs taken on site.
