Objectives of the Course

Informing about the formation and development of Greek Sculpture. Determination of the development of form and style in sculpture in the Archaic Period and information about the dating of artefacts with this method. In addition to the artifacts of these periods exhibited in Anatolia, Greece and World museums, the artifacts found in important centres will be examined comparatively.

Course Content

The process of the emergence of Greek sculpture, the definition of style and form in sculpture works, the chronology of the Archaic Period, the development of style in the art of sculpture in the Archaic Period, based on the development of style and evaluation in groups. Determination of evaluation methods by examining the surviving examples of sculpture works in early periods.
