To learn the production techniques, styles and chronological typological development of Protogeometric Period ceramics. To know the researches and publications on this subject. To learn the finding centers of Protogeometric ceramics in continental Greece, Anatolia and the islands
The Protogeometric Period is dated between 1050-900 BC. During this period, a very simple ceramic production and decoration technique was used. Protogeometric ceramics are generally divided into three categories as Early, Middle and Late Protogeometric. The changes in the form and decoration of the ceramics in these periods are quite remarkable. Within the scope of the course, periodic distinctions of ceramics will be taught.
