Objectives of the Course

This course aims to equip students with the basis biostatistics

Course Content

Basic concepts and description of biostatistics, classifying data and drawing graphics, data entry and descriptive statistics, frequency analysis and cross tabs, parametric and non-parametric binary comparisons (t tests), One way ANOVA, Kruskall Walllis test, Correlation and regression, Principal Component Analysis (PCA)

Learning Outcomes
1.to define statistics and basic concepts
2.To classify data and to draw graphics
3.To be able to calculate arithmetic, geometric and harmonic means
4.To be able to calculate dispersion measurements, variance and standard deviation
5.Creating frequency and cross tables
6.To be able to compare between groups by using parametric tests
7.To be able to compare between groups by using nonparametric tests
8.To be able to define the concept of correlation by regression the relationship between the variables that are correlated
9.To have knowledge about the analysis of the basic components of multiple tests, which is the most used analysis method
