Objectives of the Course

Introduction to equipment and techniques used in biology laboratories, observation of different organism groups in laboratory and in their natural habitats

Course Content

Introduction to equipment used in biology laboratories, preparing of solutions, field study, staining methods, blood preparation and observing blood cells microscopically, sectioning of plant samples

Sample examination with Vital staining (Staining and examination of intraoral epithelial cells)

Post-fixation examination (staining and microscopic examination of bacterial cells)

Post-fixation examination (Staining and microscopic examination of yeast and mold cells) (Midterm exam)
