Objectives of the Course

To teach basic plant ecology terms and concepts

Course Content

Basic ecological terminology, spatial evolution, spatial terms, terminology related to living organisms, populations, ecological relations, ecological factors and their effect on growth and development, autecology, population ecology, community ecology, features of land, ocean and freswater ecosystems

Introduction to Ecology: Ecological problems , Ecology as a science and its evolution, Environmental science and its history
Week 2 - Theoretical
Spacial evolution, Origin of life and evolution, natural selection and speciation

Basic terminology in ecology: spatial concepts, concepts related to living organisms, ecological relations, factors and their effect on growth and development

Ecosystem and its features: Ecosystem concept: Ecosystem kavramı, elements of ecosystems and matter cycle

Environment and plant adaptation
Week 6 - Theoretical
Soil, Soil structure, texture and its relation with plants

Classification of abiotic factors: Mechanisms on plant growth, development, reproductivity and spreading
