Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course to instruct learners basic concepts about analytical geometry that learners will need to use during their undergraduate and graduate education.

Course Content

Central conics, general conic equations, coordinate system on the space, vectors on the space, line and plane on the space, surfaces, quadratic surfaces.

1.To be able to comprehend the central conics.
2.To be able to classify the general conic sections, and sketch their graphs.
3.To be able to comprehend operations on the space through vectors.
4.To be able to define lines and plane on the space.
5.To be able to comprehend sphere, cylinder and cone and their properties.
6.To be able to recognise quadratic surfaces, and comprehend their properties.
