Objectives of the Course

in this course it is intended to study the basic ideas and theories of the philosophers and effects of these on culture and society starting from modern period onwards.

Course Content

Critical selections of thinkers, their ideas and theories from modern and contemporary philosophy and effects of these thoughts on culture and society.

1.To be informed about the main questions, ideas, doctrines, theories and trends of philosophy in modern and contemporary period
2.Comprehending the important efects of trends and ideas of contemporary philosophy on other disciplines.
3.interpreting current problems through philosophical lens
4.To gain a philosophical perspective on culture and society.
5.To understand the philosophical roots of the birth of social sciences.
