This course is aimed at giving the students some skill to critical thinking and knowledge about the place of religion in modern societies and the effects of social transformation on the religious structure and practices.
In this course it is focused on the process of secularization which is one of the significant debate in sociology of religion and politics within the frame of classical and modern approaches.
