Objectives of the Course

This course is aimed at giving the students some skill to critical thinking and knowledge about the place of religion in modern societies and the effects of social transformation on the religious structure and practices.

Course Content

In this course it is focused on the process of secularization which is one of the significant debate in sociology of religion and politics within the frame of classical and modern approaches. Is there a decline in process of secularization like classical social theories refering or a deepening is the one of the main debates. In this context, the interaction between religion, politics and society in different countries is the basic focus of the cours
