• To develop an awareness about urban problems and to discuss the solutions for those problems • To help students to develop analytical and critical thinking about urban problems • To analyse and help students to be able to analyse urban problems in terms of sociological theories and approaches • To investigate and discuss urban problems in Turkey by looking at Turkey’s internal dynamics
