Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to help the students gain some insight into an objective approach to the deviant behavior and concept of crime, which is a global phenomenon and which is observed to be a serious social problem in the course of history.

1.The students) explain why the deviation does not necessarly imply only negative act.
2.Evaluate the importance of positive deviant acts for society.
3.Have opinion about in what condition deviant behavior transforms into social problems.
4.Explain the universal and social character of crime.
5.Show that those situations similar to crime in terms of action may not be necessarly crime.
6.State the relations between criminology, sociology of crime , and other disciplines.
7.Evaluate systematically the results of fear of crime and of the range of obscure space for society.
8.Evaluate the factors triggering the subjective fear of crime.
9.Explain the associated concepts and qualifications of the scientific process followed through the studies of crime.
10.Explain the concept of crime from different theoritical perspectives.
