Objectives of the Course

The objective of this course is to teach the main problems and concepts of Ethics, their historical development and their present state: to dicuss these problems on examples chosen from works of literature or from everyday life. Additionally, This course aims to teach to discuss the theoretical and practical problems dealing with human rights philosophically. In this course theoretical and practical problems of human rights and the efforts for protecting human rights in the World and in Turkey will be referred philosophically.

Course Content

In this course, it will be indicated relation between human rights and ethics dealed with possibility of act. Thus it will be purposed to improving consicious of human rigts and to see importance of human rights about social and individual life.

1.Differ between Ethics as a branch of philosophy and morals as a systems of ready made norms.
2.Distinguish ethical relations from social relationships and express their main specifities on examples chosen from works of literature or from everyday life.
3.They explain the concept of human being and problems of human rights.
4.They express the evolution of the idea of human rights and universality of human rights.
5.They can apply the ethical view to the contemporary human rights problems.
