Objectives of the Course

To be able to learn groups of words, the elements that make up the sentence and sentence types, and to apply sentence types on texts. To make a sentence analysis and show the word groups.

Course Content

Word Groups Judicial Groups Elements that Make Sentences Sentences. Demonstrate word groups and sentence elements on texts with practice studies.

Week 1 - Theoretical
Introducing the sources, explaining their syntax and subheadings.
Week 2 - Theoretical
Brief explanation of the syntactic features of Turkish.
Week 3 - Theoretical
Examining the sentence structure of Turkish with examples.
Week 4 - Theoretical
Examination of the predicate from the elements of the sentence and its Altayistic properties.
Week 5 - Theoretical
Examining the subject from the elements of the sentence.
Week 6 - Theoretical
Examining the object from the elements of the sentence.
Week 7 - Theoretical
Examining the adverb clause, one of the elements of the sentence.
Week 8 - Theoretical
Examining the locative complement from the elements of the sentence.
Week 9 - Theoretical
Examining the elements of the sentence such as CDU, price etc.
Week 10 - Theoretical
Supra-sentence structures, scope of the terms section, utterance, kalam and the problem of terms.
Week 11 - Theoretical
Sentence types in terms of structure and conditional sentence problem.
Week 12 - Theoretical
Examination of the compound sentence.
Week 13 - Theoretical
Examination of serial and dependent sentence types
Week 14 - Theoretical
Practice on sentence examples.
