Objectives of the Course

To determine the beginning of the history of Turkish literature, To determine the arrival of the status of Turkish literature until XIIIth century . The appearance of the tradition of Classical Turkish literature and teaching of the political and social situation and literary in Anatolia in XIII-XIVth century

Course Content

Giving information about the state of Turkish literature and its representatives in the 13th and 14th centuries and reading and interpreting examples from the works of its representatives.

Learning Outcomes
1.to be able to define the historical development of Turkish literature at the beginning of the process of interdisciplinary interaction
2.To gain knowledge about Mevlana and his literary personality based on his works, to interpret his views on Mevlana and his tolerance, and to gain the ability to compare them with the principles of universal tolerance.
3.To be able to interpret Yunus Emre and his doctrine and his value of the universal sense of human love
4.To be able to tell about characteristics of the first examples of non-religious of Classical Turkish poetry
5.To be able to give examples to Hoca Mesud and the effects of his works of his time and his works of understanding the characteristics of the content
6.To be able to give examples to Ahmedi’s poems and interpretations of subjects in his and interpretation of information provided about the history of the Ottoman
