To teach theoretical approaches, definitions, branches of linguistics such as Pre-Saussure Linguistics, scientific period of linguistics, Ferdinand de Saussure and basic concepts of Course in General Linguistics, Post-Saussure Linguistics (R.Jakobson), André Martinet and double articulation, N.Chomsky and transformational-generative grammar. Teaching the students the application area of these definitions and theoretic approaches
Teaching Pre-Saussure Linguistics, scientific period of linguistics, Ferdinand de Saussure and basic concepts of General Linguistics, Post-Saussure Linguistics, theoretical approaches, definitions, basic concepts and branches of linguistics.

| 1. | To be able to comprehend that linguistics is not a name given to grammar and is a different science than philology and comprehending that it is an inseparable whole with literature |
| 2. | To be able to analyse that human language is a perfect and effective tool compared to other non-linguistic systems, it is impossible to define language without referring to communication, on-linguistic sign systems such as sign, signal, symbol, icon, helps to transmit special messages and these systems are analyzed by semiotics |
