Objectives of the Course

To examine the samples typologically in detail by giving the growth line of madrassas until the middle of the XIII century in Seljuk period and locate their place in the art of the period. Examination of the madrasas which are for education and science will shed light on the world of science.

Course Content

Scientific and cultural environment of the Anatolian Seljuk architectural features of the plans and the introduction of the effects.

Learning Outcomes
1.To be able to explain the plan, architectural and decorative features of Anatolia Seljuk madrasas .
2.To be able to identify the differences in the madrasas, (Medicine, Astronomy, Religion ...)according to various scientific fields in the Seljuk period,
3.To be able to explain the effects of scientific and cultural environment of the Anatolian Seljuk on the plan and architectural features
4.Regional characteristics of ornaments seen in madrasahs.
5.The development of madrasahs within the period art.
