Objectives of the Course

Teaching the works of Ottoman Empire methodologically, Making the students gain the capability of recognition and identification of the works

Course Content

the effects of Baroque, Rococo, Empire and Neoclassical styles, prominent in Europe , on the Ottoman Architecture and ornamentation , and the presentation of the works , occurred with this interaction.

Learning Outcomes

1.	Transition to Ottoman architecture after classical period and to recognize and learn the works of this transition period.
2.	Learning the western influences of Ottoman architecture after the Classical Period.
3.	Learning the new building types and features in Ottoman Architecture after Classical Period.
4.	To be able to cpmprehend the change in Ottoman Art in the 18th-19th centuries, how modernization and western influences are interpreted together with Classical Ottoman Art.
5.	To be able to compare, interpret and evaluate the art styles in Europe in the seventeenth century and their practices in Ottoman Art. To be able to transfer the acquired knowledge orally and in writing.

The Lale Devri and its works, the political, economic and cultural environment in the Ottoman Empire in the Eighteenth and Nineteenth centuries and the development of relations with the West.
