This course aims at encouraging students for studying on themes of Old and New Testaments, interpreting their influence on art, and analysis and comprehension of character of scenes from Old and New Testaments depicted in monumental paintings or other minor works.
The interpretation of the holy events and stories in the Old and New Testaments on especially canvas picture, miniature and monumental painting,different materials such as stone, metal, wood, and ivory will be covered ,accompanied by visual material. Iconographic analysis and evaluation will be undertaken.
