Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to educate to the students to be able to learn, explain, analysis and synthesis capability related to political, socio-economic, organizational, cultural and scientific history of Western Anatolian Principalities. In this context, it is intended to understanding of the rising conditions of these principalities in the period of the weakening of the authority of the Anatolian Seljuk state in comparison with the situation of Byzantine Empire.

Course Content

To reveal the distinctive features of Principalities in history of Mediterranean by evaluating conditions of evolutions and formations of these states, established in western Anatolia before the Ottomans.
