Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to analyze with students the examples of poetry, prose and drama written in the 18th century England and evaluate these examples by taking the historical, social and cultural context of the 18th century England into consideration.

Course Content

In this course, students learn the history and literature of the 18th century and analyze the works of the writers, poets and dramatists of the period. They learn the distinctive qualities of the literary genres that were popular during the 18th century England.
