Objectives of the Course

This course aims to analyze similar and different sides of the mythologies of different cultures and their similarities with the discourses of monotheistic religions. Turkish, Greek, Roman, American Indian, South and Central American mythologies are given to the students. The aim of the course is to provide students both with making sense of the world and with developing artistic point of view through world mythologies given with examples.

Course Content

Turkish mythology, Turkish shamanism, Greek mythology, Roman mythology, American Indian Mythology, South and Central American mythology and the similar features among all these mythologies.
