Objectives of the Course

To teach the techniques that would give the same meaning through different sentence structures and to show the advantages to students by applying these techniques on different kinds of texts such as short story, essay novel etc., and giving examples on interpretation to translation without any semantic loss by some techniques.

Course Content

Expressing the same idea through different structures (paraphrasing), limits of interpretation during translation, the harms of selecting random word during translation, and the importance of choosing the appropriate word for the context (collocation), translation application on a novel from the classics of English literature.
