This course aims to introduce students to the basic concepts and applications of decision theory and game theory and to teach them how individuals and firms can optimize their strategic decision-making processes.
The course starts with an introduction to decision theory, basic reasoning strategies, uncertainty and expected utility theory. It also covers types of risk and anomalies, game theory and strategy, complete information and incomplete information games, mixed strategies, repeated games, auctions and bargaining theory.
