Objectives of the Course

The purpose of the International Financial Markets class is to provide undergraduate students with a comprehensive understanding of the structure, function, and dynamics of global financial markets. This course aims to equip students with the knowledge and analytical skills necessary to navigate and succeed in the complex and interconnected world of international finance.

Course Content

Some key topics to be covered include foreign exchange markets, international money Markets, global capital markets, financial instruments in international markets, international market regulation, and risk management in international finance.

1.Students understand the general concepts about international financial markets.
2.Students will have knowledge about the functioning, instruments and institutions of international financial markets.
3.Students are able to analyze and interpret the behavior of different international financial instruments and their impact on global finance.
4.Students are able to evaluate the policies in Türkiye's financial markets to mitigate the possible risks arising from the risks in international markets.
5.Students are able to identify and manage various types of risks associated with international financial transactions.
6.Students will be able to formulate effective investment strategies and gain the ability to manage a diversified portfolio in a global context.
