In this course, it is aimed to explain the differences between the concepts of development and sustainable development and to evaluate and discuss the success of the policies and strategies followed by Turkey and other countries in the realisation of these goals in line with the 17 sustainable development goals set by the United Nations through the indicators related to each goal.
Within the scope of this course, firstly, the concepts of development and sustainable development will be explained. Each of the 17 sustainable development goals set by the United Nations will be analysed and the indicators related to each goal will be evaluated in various country examples and Turkey. What can be done to increase the success of sustainable development policies and strategies will be discussed.
