Objectives of the Course

The course aims to teach in detail the economy of culture and arts, which has become a separate market today. In addition, it aims to analyze cultural industries, which consist of the inputs and outputs of cultural heritage, performing arts and all other creative arts, from an economic perspective by considering the behavior of producers, consumers, state and private sectors.

Course Content

In the cultural economy course, economic indicators and markets will be examined and discussed in line with culture and art components. In this course, the following main topics will be discussed: The economics of culture and art, the market characteristics of this economy, the supply-demand balance, the point reached in the economic importance of culture and art in the changing and transforming world economy, development levels and the place of cultural expenditures in country economies.
