The aims of the course are to explain the concept of economic planning and to reveal its importance in the understanding of optimal resource distribution in the economy, especially for underdeveloped countries, and how to benefit from it in the economy. Additionally, another aim of this course is to teach students the importance of development planning, its origins, development and planning experience in the Turkish economy. In addition, this course shows the student the need for economic planning in the development process of developing countries and the potential benefits and limitations of planning.
This course focuses on topics such as the importance of development planning, its origins, development and planning experience in the Turkish economy. Economic planning is very important especially for the development of developing countries. For this reason, the State Planning Organization was established in Turkey. This is why economic planning institutions are very important. Therefore, this course explains the importance of planning on the path to economic development. At the end of the course, the student has the necessary knowledge about the benefits and limitations of planning and has learned the application of some policy analysis techniques.
