The purpose of the course is to provide the knowledge that business students need about recent technological developments in the field of production/manufacturing. New modes of production emerged as the production technologies and knowledge systems develop. The students will theoreticaly and conceptually be given instruction in modern manufacturing systems, automated transportation systems, computer-integrated production modes. In order to produce high quality goods with minumum possible cost utilizing available sources most effectively, essential conditions should be met. Business managers should make right decisions assessing the relationship between production and other functions precisely. To this end, recent developments in the field manufacturing, storing and transportation should be followed. ;In short course, the couse intends to lay the theoertical and conceptual foundation that students need to know in the production and continuous improvement process and equip the prospective managers well-informed for making production decisions
