Objectives of the Course

The primary objective of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts, principles, and operations of public finance. Students will gain knowledge of core topics such as public revenues, public expenditures, budget, tax theory, and applications. Furthermore, they will develop the ability to evaluate the economic effects of public finance and policy analyses. The course aims to help students understand the economic role of the public sector and contribute to their ability to solve current issues related to public finance.

Course Content

The course covers topics such as introduction to public finance, public revenues (taxes), public expenditures, budget, fiscal policy, local government finance, public debt, and international finance. Students will learn about tax types, the effects of public spending, the budget process, fiscal policy instruments, local government financing, public debt management, and international financial relations.
