The course aims the students to have a notion of human rights, to learn the intellectual and historical foundations of human rights, to have knowledge of international and national human rights protection mechanisms, and to gain awareness of human rights.

The concept of human rights, the history of human rights, UN human rights mechanisms, European human rights mechanisms, human rights law and the protection of human rights in Turkey before the legislature, executive and judiciary.
