The aim of this course is to analyze the historical development, founding reasons, and core functions of international financial institutions; and to evaluate their impact on the global economy and their relations with Türkiye from a historical and political economy perspective.
This course examines the historical background behind the emergence of international financial institutions, focusing on the post-World War II Bretton Woods system and the restructuring of the capitalist world order.
