Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to analyze the effects of budgetary policies on economic stability, income distribution, and resource allocation. It provides students with an understanding of how fiscal policies implemented through public expenditures and revenues impact macroeconomic indicators. Additionally, the course aims to offer a comparative perspective through the theoretical foundations and practical examples of various budget policies.

Course Content

This course covers the definition, scope, and objectives of budgetary policy. It examines how public expenditures and revenues are used within the scope of budget policy and their effects on economic stability, growth, full employment, and income distribution. Additionally, the course addresses the theoretical foundations of budget policies within classical, Keynesian, and contemporary economic approaches, as well as their practical applications in Turkey and around the world, with a focus on fiscal discipline and sustainable fiscal policies.
