Objectives of the Course

This course aims to provide students with general information about law; to show the subjects they will learn and the courses they will take in general terms. It is aimed for students to see the framework of legal education. In other words, this course aims to introduce legal concepts and legal thought; it is aimed to help students gain and increase their legal thinking skills.

Course Content

Social Order Rules and Law, Sources of Law, Branches of Law (Private Law/Public Law), Judicial Order and Courts, Types of Cases, Application of Legal Rules, Legal Transactions, Concept of Right, Concept of Sanction, Concept of Personality, Concept of Responsibility, Concept of Debt, Concept of Property.

Learning Outcomes
1.Defines the science of law; learns the relationship between law and the concepts of justice, equality, and human rights, and learns the differences between legal rules and other social order rules.
2.Learn the distinction between public law and private law among the branches of law.
3.Learn what types of courts there are in the judicial organization.
4.Learn the types of cases.
5.Learns basic concepts such as rights, sanctions, responsibilities, debts, personality, inheritance and property in terms of legal science.
