The Development Economics course aims to teach students the theoretical and practical dimensions of economic development and to provide them with the ability to analyze the basic dynamics and problems in the development process. This course aims to examine the basic concepts of development economics, development theories and policies, and structural and economic problems encountered in the development process. It also aims to enable students to critically evaluate development strategies and policies in developing countries and to develop innovative solutions for the development process. The course aims to familiarize students with global development issues and develop their skills in economic analysis and policy recommendations in line with the principles of sustainable development.
This course examines the evolution of development economics, the definition and objectives of economic development, and its relationship with growth. It deals with the causes of underdevelopment and theories of development. Analyzes the structural and economic problems in the development processes of developing countries. Gains the ability to develop economic analysis and policy recommendations in line with the principles of sustainable development.
