To analyze the basic tenets of Ottoman economic thought, social structure and to teach students how the Ottoman state affected social and economic processes.
The Social, Economic and Institutional Structures of the Ottoman Empire will be examined and discussed by dividing the periods according to the important turning points.

| 5. | To detect and identify social and political issues from an interdisciplinary perspective and pinpoint their causes within such a framework in addition to skills that would allow them to gather data on these issues, as well as analze and interpret them. |
