Objectives of the Course

Basic concepts of constitutional law, comparison of the basic texts of Turkish constitutional history, basic features of the 1982 Constitution, constitutional amendments. Analysis of the relationships between constitutions and the social and political forces that determine the formation of legal norms.

Course Content

The contents of the concepts of state, law and constitution, social dynamics and the emergence of constitutional regimes, making and changing constitutions, the organs of the state, legislature, executive and judiciary, the logic of the principles of separation and unity of powers, public freedoms and fundamental rights and liberties, the basic organizational structure of the Republic of Turkey.

1.To be able to comprehendthe basic principles of the Turkish Constitution and constitutional law
2.To be able to establish the relationship between fundamental rights and freedoms of social processes.
3.To be able to comprehend the basic organizational structure of the state.
4.To be able to fully and accurately distinguish the contents of the technical concepts of constitutional law.
5.To be able to comprehend the critical importance of the principle of separation of powers is carried in terms of the democratic regime.
