The aim of this course is to enable students to comprehend the fundamental concepts, operation, and functions of accounting; and to equip them with the skills to record documents, monitor accounts, and prepare financial statements in accordance with the Uniform Chart of Accounts.

The historical development of accounting, balance sheet concept and basic accounting balance, income statement concept, operating period and conclusion accounts, stock and securities, receivables and inventory examination of accounts.
