The Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations (ÇEEİ) within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Nazilli University is one of the leading institutions in Turkey dedicated to examining the multidimensional nature of labor processes, social inequalities, social policies, and labor relations through an interdisciplinary approach. Our department aims to educate students to become ethical, critical thinkers with an analytical perspective, while also providing the qualified human resources needed by both the public and private sectors.
The program offers a rich curriculum that enables students to analyze the fundamental dynamics of working life from historical, theoretical, and practical perspectives. Courses offered in subfields such as social policy, labor law, industrial relations, human resource management, social security systems, and gender studies are structured to support students' academic and professional development. Within this framework, the education and training activities conducted in our department are continuously updated in line with the principle of lifelong learning and supported by quality assurance systems.
Graduates of our department are employed in various public institutions, including the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Social Security Institution, the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), and the Ministry of Family and Social Services, as well as in human resources departments in the private sector, trade unions, employer associations, non-governmental organizations, and academia. Additionally, we provide systematic guidance services to our students for the Public Personnel Selection Exam (KPSS) and academic career opportunities.
Distinguished by its academic staff, research capacity, and student-centered approach, our department has adopted scientific production and social benefit as its primary goals in line with social justice, equality, and human dignity principles in the workplace. The Department of Labor Relations and Industrial Relations closely monitors the transformations occurring in global labor markets and is committed to building a participatory, critical, and transformative academic culture at both national and international levels.
