Specialization Field Course. The aim of this course is to teach the basic concepts, principles, legislation, and practices related to occupational health and safety law in working life; to familiarize students with the legal obligations and responsibilities regarding the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases. It is aimed that students can analyze and solve issues in the field of occupational health and safety with an interdisciplinary approach and evaluate national and international legislation.
This course covers occupational health and safety in the context of social rights, the basic principles of labor law, and the employer’s duty and responsibility to protect the worker, international treaties and national legal rules and relevant regulations concerning occupational health and safety, the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 and its secondary legislation, the duties and responsibilities of the employer within the framework of the aforementioned laws, the rights, duties, and responsibilities of occupational safety specialists and workplace physicians, occupational health and safety inspections and administrative sanctions, the general structure of OHS legislation, legal processes arising from work accidents and occupational diseases, compensation claims, and public law sanctions.
