The aim of the course Current Social Policy Debates is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary issues, approaches, and debates within the field of social policy. Throughout the course, students will critically analyze key topics such as globalization, digitalization, the climate crisis, migration, gender inequalities, and emerging forms of poverty from a social policy perspective, and will develop the capacity for critical assessment.
The course Current Social Policy Debates familiarizes students with recent debates and trends in social policy, including topics such as digitalization, automation, the platform economy, climate change, gender, migration, social exclusion, aging, and new social risks. It also strengthens students’ ability to carry out critical and comparative analyses within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals and social policy transformation.
